Meet Dr. J Markram
Dr. Johan Markram is a distinguished Obstetrician & Gynaecologist renowned for his expertise in fertility and laparoscopic surgery. Graduating with distinction from the University of the Orange Free State in 1997, Dr. Markram embarked on a journey dedicated to advancing reproductive health care.
Following his internship at the esteemed Pietersburg-Mankweng Hospital Complex, Dr. Markram honed his skills as a medical officer at Lydenburg Hospital for two years. Fuelled by a passion for excellence, he pursued further specialisation, earning the prestigious MMed (O&G) degree from the University of the Free State in 2005.
Markram’s journey of knowledge and dedication led him to serve as a senior consultant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of the Free State. Under the mentorship of esteemed professionals, Prof PH Wessels and Dr. JD Nortje, he gained invaluable experience at Universitas and Pelonomi Hospitals, shaping his commitment to exceptional patient care.
In 2008, Dr. Markram established his private practice, setting the standard for comprehensive fertility care. Recognizing the importance of accessibility, he relocated his practice to Midstream Medi-Clinic in 2016, ensuring individuals and couples have access to world-class fertility services.
In 2018, Dr. Markram furthered his dedication to excellence by earning his MPharmMed degree from the prestigious University of Pretoria, distinguishing himself as a leader in the field of reproductive medicine.
